Welcome to the Historic Mahogany Inn
June and Tony Aveling invite you to step back in time and experience the unpretentious warmth of old world charm and friendly service in the Perth Hills; just 30km from the Perth CBD.
Recognised by the Heritage Council of WA as a significant historic landmark, the Mahogany Inn is the oldest remaining inn and tavern along the Old York Road, and has been providing food and shelter for travellers and guests for over 170 years. What began as an army barracks in 1837 became an Inn in 1842 and has survived because of its important historic significance and beautiful setting.
Today the Mahogany Inn offers quiet settings for a leisurely visit, historic rooms for dining with family and friends, and twelve comfortable guest rooms for overnight or longer stay accommodation.
We strive to maintain the feeling of warmth and charm that so many guests have come to love over the years, and hope that we will have the opportunity to show you the hospitality that has made this old Inn so famous.
We look forward to your visit!
